Man shoots another man in the face during attempted puppy robbery

From: MAJOR IAN DOMBROSKI

“On Wednesday at about noon a man tried to rob another man of his puppy in the 800 block of East Patapsco Avenue in Brooklyn . The victim did not relinquish the puppy and the robber shot the victim in the face. The robber fled and police responded and began to investigate. Detectives, Southern District patrol, and Southern District operation units worked together and quickly identified the shooter. A warrant was issued for Frederick Catchings. He was arrested a few days later and is charged with attempted murder, attempted robbery and other related crimes. The victim will survive his injuries. The puppy was unharmed.”
