For the last few weeks the Young Democrats of America have been sending me emails about their upcoming national convention in San Antonio.
“I am excited to announce that in addition to Mayor Julian Castro, we will also hear keynote addresses from Congressman Joaquin Castro (D-TX) and Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake who serves as Secretary of the DNC. They represent some of the most promising, young rising stars in the Democratic Party who will provide leadership for decades to come.”
The mayor of Baltimore is listed as the keynote speaker on Friday.
The local media has been doing a good job of calling attention to Rawlings-Blake’s recent west coast travels. She was recently in Utah and Las Vegas. This is probably the first time you have heard about this San Antonio speech.
If any of these trips cost the tax payers one penny then the mayor should not be going on them. The mayor is not the only politician that is traveling around the country trying to pad her resume. Check out what I randomly stumbled upon when I was preparing to tweet this blog post.
Meanwhile back in Baltimore… Joggers robbed in Roland Park, Wyndhurst by suspects in stolen vehicle.
