Snow money

You have to love this winter! It is possible that there will not be a major snow event this season. If we are lucky enough to have no more snow this winter then what happens to all the money the city and state would have used during a “regular” winter? I assume we could still be paying down our winter storm debt from 2010. We could save the money for next year’s winter. We could apply it to a pressing 2012 need or pay down interest on debts. All I know is that if it does not snow again this winter the state and city will actually save money for once! When was the last time we could say that?

In other news: Property tax may need to rise to pay back bonds.
